‘The Walking Dead’ Character Daryl Dixon Is Safe As Actor Norman Reedus’ Contract Has Been Renewed

As fans of "The Walking Dead" character Daryl Dixon promise 'riot' if the character dies, the network has officially renewed the actor Norman Reedus' contract. In fact, it seems Norman and co-actor Andrew Lincoln may each see a pay increase in 2017.

Despite Daryl Dixon not being part of the comic book series of "The Walking Dead" and an original creation of the hit TV series, Norman Reedus has successfully brought life to the character especially in the current season of "The Walking Dead," garnering enough devoted fans for the network to retain his character.

ComicBook has reported that despite the contract renewal of Norman Reedus as "The Walking Dead" character Daryl Dixon, fans still speculate that he could meet his end in "The Walking Dead" Season 7. Speculations began after "The Walking Dead" actor Norman Reedus spoke about a few grim details regarding events in Season 7 but it was unclear if he was talking about his character or another.

As it happens, Norman Reedus is not the only actor whose contract has been renewed until "The Walking Dead" Season 8. According to MoviePilot, actor Andrew Lincoln re-negotiated his contract. The actor plays Rick Grimes.

"The Walking Dead" production staff has kept mum regarding each character's fate on the show. But TWD's announcement on the contract renewal of Norman Reedus may have hinted his character Daryl Dixon's survival from the Saviors on "The Walking Dead" Season 7, per HofMag.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
