Twitter News Update: CEO Jack Dorsey Had His Twitter Account Suspended

On the latest Twitter news update, the Twitter account of the company's CEO Jack Dorsey was suspended last Tuesday night. Dorsey who was the co-founder of the company ten years ago just returned as CEO last year and sent this message on Twitter: "just setting up my twttr...again (account suspension was an internal mistake)."

The message was a reminder for people of the first ever tweet on the social network which Jack Dorsey posted back in March 2006. According to USA Today, the suspension of the Twitter account of the CEO is ironic because the company has just suspended a lot of user accounts due to association with the alt-right movement which promotes white nationalism.

CEO Jack Dorsey also apologized to netizens when an advertisement for another white supremacy group suddenly appeared on the social networking site. Twitter removed the said advertisement within one hour of posting as included in the Twitter news update.

As regards the suspension of the Twitter account of the CEO Jack Dorsey, a lot of users have reported seeing the "suspended account" page. A lot of people in the Twitter community became confused and amused when they saw the error as reported in Fox News.

In the beginning, Twitter was first conceptualized by investor Jack Dorsey, Google employee Biz Stone, and co-founder Evan Williams. The trio made a plan to build a social website that will only use 140 characters for status updates.

After a year of bouncing ideas, Williams eventually told other investors about the Twitter project and most of them agreed to finance the startup. Not everyone on board realized that Twitter would eventually become a company that would have a net worth of $5 billion as stated in Forbes.

The current slip-up in the social networking site is the second time in one week that the company made a major mistake that the media focused on. In the latest Twitter news update, the company explained that the Neo Nazi ad slipping into the system was another monitoring error on the platform.

Earlier this year, Twitter was hacked by different users who targeted celebrity profiles. Keith Richards, Drake, and Twitter's very famous user Katy Perry were the victims of the hacking breach.
