‘Pokemon Sun’ And ‘Pokemon Moon’ Release Update: Stores Across The United Kingdom Gets Midnight Launch

Retail stores across the United Kingdom have finally started selling the "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" video games which began at midnight. The leading UK retailer GAME has launched the new "Pokemon" games at 312 stores as reported in the "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" release update.

According to Mirror Online, thousands of gamers waited in line to attend the special events held by the retail store GAME. The said events were leading up to the actual launch of the new video games published by Nintendo for the 3DS handheld system.

Inside the stores, the GAME staff was dressed in Pokemon outfits and live tournaments were held with customers battling it out using real Pokemon trading cards. In the "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" release update, it's mentioned that the new games are the 7th installment in the series which started in 1996 with "Pokemon Red" and "Pokemon Green" released for the Game Boy.

In a review posted in IGN, it's said that both "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" bring new honor to the 20-year legacy of the monster-collecting RPG. The new games bring a fresh tropical adventure with a lot of surprises thrown into the mix.

Players of "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" will engage in different non-combat challenges like quizzes and scavenging along with a variety of Poke battles. The biggest change in the game series is the addition of the new island setting of Alola.

Overall, "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" has already out-performed the X and Y games, making the new 3DS Pokemon entry the top-selling 3DS title in history as reported in GameNGuide. Nintendo has already shipped 10 million units all over the world according to the new "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" release update.

The launch of "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" in the United Kingdom is another icing in the cake for the 20th anniversary of the game series. It's a monumental follow-up to the previous success of "Pokemon Go" which has seen 500 million downloads.
