Heartless Attackers Gun Down 16-Year-Old Miami Teen While Walking Home From McDonalds

A teenager and his friend were on their way home from visiting a McDonald's chain and two men allegedly attacked them then started shooting. A 16-year-old teenager was killed during the incident.

The killing took place on Tuesday evening and the teen killed was recently identified as Damien Ramirez. Miami CBS reported that the teen's attackers might have been two juveniles.

Ramirez and a friend were attacked at the intersection of NW 17th Avenue and NW 31st Street. A gun was recovered at the crime scene but it has not been determined yet if this was used in the shooting of Ramirez.

The mother of Ramirez claims that her son was very humble and had no enemies. However, the attack might have been planned because Ramirez was shot in the back five times. The mother was even praising his son on how kind and sweet he is and that he did not deserve to die in such a way.

Friends of Ramirez also could not believe what happened to him saying that he was a good friend. One friend said that Ramirez was not into gangs or drugs so it was heartbreaking how he was killed.

Ramirez has been living with his grandmother in Allapatah. Latino Fox News reported that the teenager died shortly after he was taken to an area hospital. There was a total of 14 shell casings in the area where the teenagers were attacked. The other teenager was not yet identified and was said to be in critical condition since being rushed to the hospital on Tuesday evening.

Another person was also injured during the attack and he's a 50-year-old man, who is believed to be homeless. He was shot in the arm and is not related to the teenagers. A window and a wall were also destroyed from the shootings.

Officers have now started to review surveillance videos in an attempt to pinpoint suspects. Anyone who has information about the shootings is encouraged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. A $1,000 reward will reportedly be given to anyone who can lead to an arrest.
