OnePlus 3T Launch Dates & Prices: O3T Releases In Europe; Android 7.1 Nougat Update Rolls Out By Year-End

OnePlus has been launching OnePlus 3T in different parts of the world, with Europe being the most recent region to receive the new smartphone. OnePlus team answers some questions from consumers on Reddit regarding its new flagship device.

Chine smartphone company OnePlus brings the OnePlus 3T to Europe today, a week after it was released in North America, and six months after OnePlus 3 hit the market. Consumers can now purchase OnePlus 3T with internal storage of 64GB and 128GB in Gunmetal version. According to GSMArena, the device with 64GB in soft gold version will be available at a later date.

OnePlus 3T comes with a price tag of £400 and £440 for 64GB and 128GB, respectively, in the United Kingdom. In other parts of Europe, O3T is priced at €440 and €480, respectively. The new smartphone is expected to hit the shelves in China tomorrow. In Hong Kong, the 64GB model costs HK$3,388. OnePlus 3T will be launched in India on Dec. 2.

As reported by The Indian Express, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, along with other OnePlus 3T team, took to Reddit to answer some of the questions of consumers regarding OnePlus 3T. Many were surprised that the company launched the new O3T smartphone just half a year after they released OnePlus 3. Carl Pei has this to say: "We had the capability to improve the product, wanted to try it out, so we did. We think in a simple way."

OnePlus 3T comes out of the box with Android 7.0 Nougat. As the team clarified, Android 7.1 came out mid-way of O3T's development so they didn't have time to incorporate it. They confirmed that OnePlus 3T and its predecessor OnePlus 3 will have the same software update schedule. Android 7.1 is expected to roll out on OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T devices by December.

OnePlus 3T is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 and 6GB of RAM. Having an internal storage of up to 128GB, the dual-sim smartphone does not come with an SD card slot. The device also has 16MP of rear camera and 16MP of front camera. It first hit the market on Nov. 22. Watch the unboxing in the video below.
