Sherri Papini Latest Update: Missing Mom Finally Found After Enduring Mental And Physical Abuse From Abduction; Sheriff Talks Message Burned Onto Skin

The California mother who disappeared while she was jogging was recently found on the side of the road after her attackers decided to let her go. Sherri Papini's husband and the sheriff handling the case recently released details of what the mother-of-two suffered from the hands of her abductors, just like the message burned onto her skin.

The attackers of Sherri Papini were regarded as "sick persons" because of what they did to the California woman. Yahoo reported that the 34-year-old mother-of-two had a message branded on her and it was not a symbol.

Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko did not provide details about the message. However, Bosenko said, "I would think that that was some sort of either an exertion of power and control and/or maybe some type of message that the brand contained."

Sherri Papini was missing for three weeks before she was found on Thanksgiving. The woman who called 911 about Sherri Papini said that she looked scared.

The husband of Sherri Papini, Keith, said that she endured mental and physical abuse from the abduction. She reportedly weighs only 87 pounds and had bruises all over her body, severe burns, red rashes and chain markings. Sherri's nose was also broken and her hair was chopped off.

Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko also said that Sherri Papini's hair might have been cut off because the attackers did not just want to change her physical appearance but also to humiliate the mother-of-two. As for the alleged kidnappers, Sherri claimed that two of them are Hispanic females and drove an SUV. They also have a handgun with them and the authorities are currently searching for Sherri's abductors.

In a statement to Good Morning America, Keith Papini said that the rumors, assumptions and lies about his wife's situation were exhausting and disgusting but he continues to thank the people who supported them. He added that he understands that people want the story, pictures and proof in order to prove that it was not a hoax but he says he does not see a purpose in addressing those concerns.

Keith Papini also said that when he saw his wife Sherri, they were filled with happiness but also overwhelming nausea as he assessed what happened to his wife. He ended his statement by saying that it will be a long road of healing for everyone in their family.
