Will Melania Trump Be A Fashionable US First Lady? Who Are The Top Designers On Her Side

As Donald Trump will soon take over the US Presidency in January 2017, people are equally curious about how his wife, Melania Trump will do as a First Lady. The Slovenian-born model has a tough act to follow since current First Lady, Michelle Obama is a woman admired both for being intelligent and fashionable. So can the 46-year old beauty also give America a lady worthy of emulation?

According to a Quartz article, Melania Trump may have a hard to time trying to replicate or surpass the smart fashion sense of Michelle Obama since a number of top designers in the country refuse to dress her. The reason is because most of the fashion gurus have been very vocal about their support for the Democrat candidate, Hilary Clinton during the campaign period. Yet, of course, there are still some designers who are willing to help Melania Trump dress fabulously.

Some of the designers who expressed interest in helping Melania Trump choose her wardrobe to include Tommy Hilfiger, Diane von Furstenberg, and Thom Browne. Likewise, Marcus Wainwright and Rag & Bone said yes to Melania. These designers think Melanie is a beautiful lady and creating pieces for her will be exciting.

Meanwhile, Tom Ford and Derek Lam also said no to dressing Melania yet these two still leaves hope that they may consider it in the future. Unlike Sophie Theallet, Humberto Leon, and Marc Jacobs who are absolutely not open to the idea of dressing Melania as reported by Time. The said designers find it hard to support the First Lady who they believe has a husband who does not share their values.
