Revisit ‘The Fall’ Season 3 Finale As Creator Allan Cubitt Gives Answer To Fan’s Burning Questions

"The Fall" Season 3 finale entitled "Their Solitary Way" was one of the most dreadful things that ever happened in a TV series ending. This BBC series starring Jamie Dornan (Paul Spector) and Gillian Anderson (Stell Gibson) delivered such an intense finale that the gruesome scenes that took place in the episode are probably still reeling from the head of the viewers. Aside from its shock effect, "The Fall" ending also created questions and fortunately, its showrunner Allan Cubitt offered to give some answers.

Yahoo interviewed Allan Cubitt, the writer and director of "The Fall" to shed light on some questions about the finale. One question is the degree of violence that Paul was shown capable of during the ending and if t is a clear proof that he is indeed just faking his amnesia.

Cubitt reveals that he introduced Paul's amnesia as a way to complicate the situation for Season 3.Yet he chose left the question if the memory ailment is real or not by saying that Paul may have suffered from amnesia for some time but then eventually found a way to turn it to his advantage.

As Paul committed suicide, there was a time when the serial killer appeared to have gasped for air and some views this as a last attempt to undo his actions and save himself. This scene according to Cubitt is a way to show that humans instinctively have this will to live and so Spector had to struggle to fight this urge as he kills himself.

Another question that "The Fall" followers are also itching to know is if the series will be back for a Season 4 and will the character of Paul Spector return as posted in Premiere Date TV. Well, it seems Allan Cubitt still needs some time to sort that one through. Meanwhile, followers can simply relieve all of the "The Fall" Season 3 episodes that are currently available for streaming on Netflix.
