‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ Coming To Broadway In Spring 2018! [DETAILS HERE]

The magical world of Harry Potter is not fading and the story continues beyond the seven books of the series. "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" play that was shown in London is coming to Broadway in 2018.

The plans to bring the sequel to the "Harry Potter" book and movie series, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," came one step closer to fruition. The producers of the play, Sonia Friedman and Colin Callendar, are reportedly in advanced talks with Ambassador Theatre Group to bring the magical play in New York, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" will be shown in Lyric Theatre, which will undergo some refurbishment to meet the specific needs of the two-part stage play. From 1,900 seats, the place will be transformed to 1,500 seats only and will be optimized to provide the right atmosphere and audience experience.

Many are positive that this show will be a success. In fact, a Broadway Insider believes that this play could run for three decades or longer. "I think this show could run 30 years, maybe forever, " the insider told New York Post.

"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" was written by Jack Thorne based on a new original story of J.K. Rowling, Thorne and John Tiffany. The story picks up 19 years after the "Deathly Hallows" and follows the grown-up Harry Potter and his son Albus Severus Potter.

The original "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" premiered in Palace Theatre in London last July 30. The rehearsal script was officially published as the eighth book of the Harry Potter franchise, 10 years after the seventh book was released.

While fans are counting down the days to Spring 2018, a marathon of the all the eight movies of "Harry Potter" would be a way to start recalling the events before "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child." Those who don't have the luxury of 19 hours and a half to finish all the movies could watch the re-edit version. As Parent Herald previously reported, enterprising editor Tim Stiefler made a recut version of all the eight movies into just a little over an hour.
