Teen Accused Of Beheading Classmate? Massachusetts Suspect Reportedly Said He Did Something Bad After Alleged Crime

A Massachusetts teenager is accused of beheading his classmate. The suspect reportedly said that he did something bad after the alleged crime.

The victim was identified as Manuel Viloria-Paulino, 16. Washington Post reported that Viloria-Paulino brought a friend to their home in mid-November who is said to be the former's classmate at Lawrence High in Massachusetts. A few days later, Viloria-Paulino reportedly walked out of his grandmother's home and was never seen again. Just this Thursday, the body of Viloria-Paulino was found by a woman walking her dog near the banks of a river.

The suspect, identified as Mathew Borges, was charged with murder two days later the headless body of Viloria-Paulino was discovered. As reported, Borges will be tried as an adult. The severed head of Viloria-Paulino was found near where his body was discovered.

In a police report, Borges allegedly confessed to another person about the crime. Viloria-Paulino and Borges went to a spot on the river where teens frequently go. They reportedly smoked marijuana and Borges allegedly stabbed his friend then mutilated his body.

The police report added, "A witness told investigators that Mathew told them he did something bad. Mathew then told him that he stabbed a kid and cut his head off killing him." The friend to whom Borges reportedly confided to said that the teen was motioning his hands like he was also stabbing someone and cutting someone's head off when he talked about what he did, NECN reported.

Hundreds gathered on Friday at a memorial for Viloria-Paulino. His grandmother described Viloria-Paulino as a lovely kid who has not done anything bad to anyone. The motive of the killing remains unclear and the family is questioning what Viloria-Paulino did to deserve such.

Borges will be held at the Roslindale Juvenile Facility until Jan. 10 for the probable cause hearing. Meanwhile, the investigation is still ongoing.
