Oakland Fire Takes 33 Live As The Searchers Advance

In the first week of December, a fire killed 33 victims were found. It may already be high in numbers, but it was stated that there are still more victims yet to be recovered.

On Friday, around 11.30 pm, a fire broke out during a music show which killed more than 20 people. On Sunday afternoon, the search team did their best with the hopes of recovering more fire victims.

NPR then added that the mayor of Oakland mentioned that the families of the victims were being contacted. The victims were recognized through their finger prints and through their relatives statement. Due to the fire, it was hard to recognize their facial form. Not only are the victims being recovered, but a team has been made in order to find the cause of the fire.

The fire battalion's chief described the process of search of victims as a long and time-consuming process, as they had to literally remove all the debris of the building. She also described the fire, as the most deadliest one, in Oakland. There were safety concerns for the rescuers as well, as the roof of the warehouse had collapsed.

In the East Bay Times, it was reported by a musician that around 40-50 people were present inside the warehouse when the fire started to grow. The diagram of the building was also present at The East Bay Times.

Derick Alemany and his wife were the ones to be operating the warehouse. Alemany in a post on Facebook, posted his sadness and grief not on the loss of lives, but on the losing of what he had been working hard for. He was also thankful that his family was safe. His post was then slammed for insensitivity towards the victims and the situation.

The Music show's (Electronic) page which was for events, was filled with posts that showed sympathies of people not only from Oakland, but all around the world. The page was also being used in order to find information about the people who had still been missing. And lists were made, consisting the names of the missing ones. The families of those who had been found, had been informed.
