Top 10 Movies For The Winter You Should Watch; 'Office Christmas Party,' 'Assassin's Creed,' 'La La Land' Among Best Picks

Many movies are yet to be released from December through next year and the top 10 picks of the movies that people should watch has been released. This includes the Jennifer Aniston-led flick "Office Christmas Party," the much talked about musical "La La Land" and "Assassin's Creed."

"Office Christmas Party." The flick was released from theaters in December 9 and it is about a company trying to save their business before Aniston's character gets rid of everyone and the business itself. The flick also centers on the businessman the lead stars are trying to strike a deal with and makes their Christmas party the way to try and achieve that goal. This would be great for family and friends to watch as it is a feel good movie.

"La La Land." The movie that everyone is talking about and has been regarded by lead star Emma Stone as something that would give hope to those who feel like giving up. The flick follows the story of an aspiring actress and a pianist. The movie was out in select theaters in December 9 and the wider release will be on December 16, iTechPost reported.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." IMDB reported that this movie will also be out this December 16. The movie's plot is about a group of heroes trying to steal the plan of Death Star.

"Assassin's Creed." The much-awaited movie will be out in theaters this December 21, Wednesday. As per the synopsis of the movie, Callum Lynch will be able to experience the adventures of his ancestor Aguilar via a revolutionary technology. Callum will also discover that he comes from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins.

"Passengers." Another Jennifer Lawrence movie this time alongside Chris Pratt. The characters of the two are these two people who have woken up 90 years too early as they travel through space to a new home. They then discover that the ship is in grave danger and they try to save the 5000 other sleeping passengers. It will be hitting theaters this December 21.

"Sing." This animated movie is great for the family and the kids. It is about a businessman trying to save his business by letting people audition for his singing contest. This will be out also on December 21.

"A Monster Calls." The flick centers on a massive, ancient tree monster, voiced by Liam Neeson. The three will take a 12-year-old boy, played by Lewis MacDougall, on a journey of courage, faith and truth. This will be out by January 6.

"Why Him?" The James Franco-led flick is a story about a father visiting his daughter then finding out about the person she is dating. Bryan Cranston also stars in this movie that will be out in theaters this December 23.

"Fences." It is one of the films that has been talked about since it touches on racism. A former baseball star crushes the dreams of his son who wants to play college football. It will be out on Christmas day.

"Resident Evil: The Final Chapter." The movie will be out this January 27. It follows the star of the franchise, Alice, taking on new enemies.
