Could Not Get Enough Of The Latest And Hottest Movies Now? Apple Users Rejoice! Company Wants Movies To Be On iTunes Earlier

Apple is working their way to satisfy their customers even more as they are hoping to bring the latest movies on iTunes at an earlier time. The company is reportedly offering Hollywood studios to make their movies available on iTunes two weeks after the flicks are released in theaters.

USA Today reported that the tech giant wants companies like Universal Pictures, Warner Bros., and 21st Century Fox to use iTunes instead of making these new movies available for home-video rental. Studios give theaters 90 days of exclusivity before they sell the movies online or make DVD copies. Theater chains have been firm that they want to retain their exclusive rights so it might be a problem for Apple if they want to push through with their plan.

The Verge also reported that Apple wants these new movies that are still in theaters be available on iTunes. If the plan will materialize, Apple will have another edge against the other tech giants as well as services that offer streaming such as Netflix and Amazon. The TV and movie offers of Apple are not as great as Netflix and Amazon so if this deal will be sealed, it would be advantageous for the company.

Theater attendance has reportedly declined in recent years and the have been coming up with new stints and gigs in order to get more audiences. One of the strategies that theaters have come up with is the Screening Room. This will let users pay $50 per new movie that will be shown on their TVs.

Other opinions on the Apple plan is that it could possibly finally stop piracy. Accordingly, many believe that earlier access to new films will help hinder pirates from stealing content.

Just recently, Apple made it big with Beats Music. The service was acquired for $3 billion in 2014 in order to create a music-streaming service as an alternative to Spotify.
