'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' Update: Disney Confirms Partnership With Uber!

As part of Disney's promotion efforts for the latest motion picture "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story", they confirmed their partnership with Uber, a renowned online transportation network. As you hail your Uber car starting next week, be ready to feel and be with the Force.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will be screening on the 16^th and as part of the partnership promo, Uber will launch a "Star Wars" theme for their rides. Uber users will get a unique treat from Disney and "Star Wars" by downloading the app and booking a ride, The Wrap reported. So what are you waiting for?

Those who will book an Uber ride are entitled to an exclusive "Star Wars" video and behind-the-scene footage. What's more interesting and exciting is that in the app, the Uber car icons will transform into X-Wing starfighter planes.

The "Rogue One" promo will take effect between Dec 12 and Dec 19. The new feature will initiate after you open the pop-up card which will appear once you use the Uber app. It's just a matter of one click to activate the "Star Wars" theme. This Disney-Uber partnership was planned, crafted and initiated timely for the movie's scheduled screening. The "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is a motion-picture produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by Walt Disney Studios. Variety reported that Walt Disney Studios' EVP Asad Ayaz describes their partnership efforts with Uber a "first-of-its-kind".

Uber hopes to attract and engage its riders, particularly the fans. As Uber advertises the forthcoming film, it also seeks to make their users enjoy a fun, seamless, and convenient journey.

"Rogue One" will show before the eighth installment of "Star Wars" which is anticipated to commence its production soon and be released in Dec. 2017. Rian Johnson, who is expected to direct the movie, is said to include Felicity Jones and Diego Luna in their plans to steal and destroy Empire's weapon of destruction, Yahoo reported.
