‘The Crown’ Season 2 Latest Updates: Release Date Set Next Nov? New Characters In Season 2 Will Include ‘The Beatles?’

The most expensive Netflix series to date, "The Crown" which was released last Nov. 4 is undoubtedly a success since the biopic has been receiving praises from critics for it excellent script, cinematography and actor's performances. This historical drama that delves on the interesting lives of the royalty mainly centers on the longest-running British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II and stars Claire Foy and Matt Smith. Read on for the latest information about the plot, new characters, and release dates of the upcoming "The Crown" Season 2.

According to a post from Express UK the new season of the "The Crown" will see the return of Claire Foy (Queen Elizabeth II), Matt Smith (Prince Philip) and Vanessa Kirby (Princess Margaret). The plot of this new season will cover the period from 1955 and 1965 and it will show the Queen getting pregnant with children, Andrew and Edward.

Since the Queen reportedly met the hottest thing in the music industry of that time, "The Beatles," in 1963, the historical series will likely feature the legendary band in the series. Another character to appear in Season 2 is the new lover of Princess Margaret which is the photographer, Antony-Armstrong Jones.

So when can viewers expect Season 2 of "The Crown" to come out, a new article from Express UK claimed that it is most likely premiere in Nov.2017 since Netflix usually released their biggest offerings around that time. Likewise, the burning question in everybody's mind right now is who could be the actors who will be asked to play the roles of the new characters in the series.
