Rosie O'Donnell's Daughter Left To Live With Birth Mother, Confirms Rep

The family saga involving Rosie O'Donnell and her teenage daughter isn't over.

After reporting her as missing last week and finding her in the company of a 25-year-old man, Chelsea O' Donnell, Rosie's 18-year-old adopted daughter, has decided to leave home again and move in with her birth mother, Deanna Micoley, People has learned.

"Chelsea made a decision when she turned 18 that she wanted to go to her birth mother. This was her choice," Cindi Berger, O'Donnell's publicist, said in a statement.

The actress did not make any other comment regarding her daughter's choice, but she allegedly told Chelsea not to go with Deanna, according to TMZ. The site added that Chelsea was cut off financially and that Rosie was determined not to turn over the needed documents, such as her birth certificate and social security card.

It was Deanna who picked up Chelsea last Monday, coincidentally the girl's 18th birthday, and then they drove back to Wisconsin. The birth mother revealed through Mail Online that Chelsea planned on visiting her in September. They spoke about this before she went missing.

"I last spoke to Chelsea on 8th August and our conversation was that she was going to come and see me in September. It wasn't a secret meeting. It had nothing to do with her running away, we were just planning on meeting," Deanna said.

Deanna also said that it was Chelsea who initiated contact with her in November, but when they started communicating, Rosie would sometimes withhold some of her messages to her daughter.

Rosie adopted Chelsea in 1997. Deanna had been a drug addict when she was pregnant with Chelsea; thus, she was forced to give her up. "My point of view is that I did not give up my daughter for adoption. I was married to a guy, Lance, who was into the drug situation and he shot me up with heroin and had me sign away my rights," she told the news outlet.

But the mother claims that she has since fixed her life since and is now married with four other kids.

Meanwhile, Steven Sheerer, the man who was with Chelsea when the police found her after being reported missing, is still in jail, according to E! Online. Charges in relation to endangering the welfare of a child and obscenity were filed against him by Rosie's camp, which could land him five years in prison for each count.
