Bristol Palin Pregnancy: What Millennials Can Learn From Sarah Palin's Daughter With Third Baby At 26

The daughter of Republican Sarah Palin, Bristol Palin, recently announced that she is having baby no. 3. Only 26-years-old, the media personality drew a lot of ire for her first two pregnancies but her story should be a great lesson from millennials.

Bristol Palin released an official statement announcing her third pregnancy and a looming springtime birth via Entertainment Tonight. "God has blessed us so much; we are thankful for His grace and new beginnings," Bristol Palin, with the support of husband Dakota Meyer, said. The couple got married just this June.

In 2008, Bristol Palin had her first child out of wedlock as a teenager and the family received a lot of negative press. It came at a time when her mother was gunning for the Vice Presidential seat, which Sarah Palin lost.

Seven years later, Bristol Palin announced her second pregnancy while newly-engaged to Meyer. She acknowledged she had been a "huge failure" to her family, according to People.

In both pregnancies, the 26-year-old never considered having an abortion. Despite the public shaming and several offensive remarks from the public about the situations in which she got pregnant, Bristol Palin never wavered on her pro-life stance and values.

For The Federalist, Bristol Palin should be a shining example for millennials when it comes to family goals. Despite the unplanned pregnancies, she was able to admit and learn from her mistakes while still embracing the fact that babies are a blessing.

The news outlet also cites that the young woman is creating the type of family she wants, having grown up in a big family herself and she's doing it as early as possible. Her choices might be questionable for some people, but it looks like Bristol Palin is embracing parenthood.
