‘Naruto’ Live Action Movie Updates: Lionsgate Moves Forward With The Movie And Creator Kishimoto Confirmed His Involvement Too

It has been years since fans of the hit anime "Naruto" have been clamoring for a movie adaptation. Fortunately now, the fans of the hit anime "Naruto" will be delighted to know that their beloved character will now make its debut in the big screen. Anime creator Masashi Kishimoto talked about the plans for the upcoming movie.

Rumors have previously circulated that Lionsgate has reportedly acquired live-action film rights of "Naruto." Just recently, the rumors have been confirmed to be true. "Naruto" will now hit the theaters of Hollywood.

The creator of the anime series has just spoken at Weekly Jump's "Jump Fiesta" on Dec. 17, revealing future plans for "Naruto." Kishimoto confirmed through the event that a live-action adaptation of "Naruto" is now confirmed to proceed production. The creator also revealed that he was asked to be involved in the movie adaptation, to help Michael Gracey, who will be directing the "Naruto" movie. Gracey is popularly known with his works on "The Greatest Showman" and has knowledge in visual effects and animation.

This is the first time that "Naruto" creator has confirmed the existence of the movie adaptation. However, this news on the live-action adaptation was already hinted since last year. The Tracking Board Hollywood has reported that Lionsgate was already meeting with director Gracey regarding the "Naruto" film. It was also noted that the producers of the "Naruto" film adaptation would be Avi Arad and his son.

Creator Kishimoto also gave the fans a nice treat by taking time to display exclusive pre-production artworks for the upcoming movie during the said event, Comicbook reported.

Shonen Jump also took to its official Twitter account an update on the upcoming "Naruto" film. The magazine attended the annual manga convention and witnessed through a Q&A the confirmation of the film adaptation of "Naruto." Shonen Jump is a weekly English-language magazine featuring news on manga and Japanese entertainment.
