Steve Coogan & Rob Brydon Are Back For ‘The Trip To Spain’ In 2017; Check Out The Teaser

The TV series from UK, "The Trip" which premiered in 2010 is a huge success after receiving rave reviews and critical acclaim. Starring actors, Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon, this comedy show was ultimately turned into film and then came back for a second instalment, "The Trip to Italy" in 2014. Now, the hilarious duo is set to bring good laughs again with a third instalment entitled, "The Trip to Spain."

As posted in Collider, the show which started in BBC will now be moving to Sky Atlantic. Michael Winterbottom is still the director and the producers are Melissa Parmenter and Josh Haynes.

In this comedy series directed by Michael Winterbottom, Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon plays interesting roles because they are actually acting out fictionalized versions of themselves. The plot of "The Trip" starts when actor Steve Coogan supposedly accepted a restaurant tour project for the newspaper "Observer." As his girlfriend, Mischa decided to temporarily be away from each other, Steve turned to friend Rob to accompany him.

The team of Steve and Rob came back for another restaurant tour, this time in Italy for "The Trip to Italy." As the sequel was also made into a film, it seems to indicate that viewers want more. So here comes "The Trip to Spain.

The first teaser for "The Trip To Spain" shows Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon impersonating Michal Caine and Mick Jagger according to Manchester Evening News. The impression is the result of the two actors thinking about how life will be like as a 70-year old father.

"The Trip to Spain" is set to be released in UK in 2017. Many are also curious when the series will premiere in America because it is really sad if a show as brilliant as this will not reach US TV. To get a glimpse of "The Trip to Spain," check out the teaser below.
