Lauren Conrad's Pregnancy Etiquette Guide: What Not To Say To Pregnant Moms

Reality TV star turned lifestyle expert Lauren Conrad has come out with a pregnancy etiquette guide for people who interact with pregnant moms. She listed down some of the most important things that should be avoided when talking to a mom-to-be.

On her lifestyle blog Lauren Conrad, the media personality said that she has already witnessed some "etiquette missteps" in her second trimester. She discussed this with one of her editor who is also pregnant and they realized that the inappropriate behavior from people around pregnant women is quite common. So, she was prompted to come up with a list.

Among the things that Conrad suggests in her pregnancy etiquette guide is for people to hold off asking when the baby is due unless they are sure that the woman is pregnant. She also said it's not appropriate to touch the mom's belly without her permission or to comment on the size of her baby bump.

Pregnant women have several things to deal with and body issues is definitely a sore spot. At least 80 percent of pregnant moms grow self-consciousness or begin to hate how they look as they experience the physical changes, Alpha Mom cites.

But a top issue on Conrad's pregnancy etiquette guide is about dealing with couples who are not yet in the family way. "Do not ask a married couple when they are going to have kids," she wrote, citing that this only puts pressure on having kids when it should be personal choice.

Conrad announced at the start of the year that she was having a baby with husband William Tell after two years of marriage. A recent photo of her revealed that her baby bump has started showing. As Parent Herald previously reported, the former star of "The Hills" would ideally like to have two children.
