Mom Of Angelina Jolie's Daughter Zahara Wants To Reconnect: 'I Miss Her All The Time'

The mom of Angelina Jolie's adopted daughter Zahara has reached out to the Hollywood star. Mentewab Dawit Lebiso from Ethiopia gave up her child 12 years ago but now she wants to be reconnected with her.

Lebiso, 31, spoke with the Daily Mail about wanting to be in touch with Zahara. She made it clear, however, that she has no plans of taking her back from Jolie.

In fact, she would rather Zahara to remain with the actress because Lebiso has nothing to offer. She said that she understands that the famous actress "has been more of a mother" to Zahara yet she admitted that she misses her daughter "all the time."

The biological mom just wants the young girl to know that she still exists and if possible, Lebiso would like a chance to regularly talk to her. She also claimed she's not seeking money from Jolie.

The news outlet found Lebiso and took photos of her and her neighborhood in a far-flung town in Ethiopia. She rents out room in her small house for a living and she has no husband and children.

Back in the U.S., however, previous reports surfaced that Zahara's parents died because of AIDS. Lebiso said she was a victim of rape and was too weak to care for her baby girl so she had to give Zahara up fo adoption.

"By taking her, Angelina has saved my baby's life and she also saved my life," Lebiso said. "I will always be very grateful to her for that."

Jolie adopted a month-old Zahara in 2005 to become her third child after sons Maddox and Pax. Lebiso named her Yemsrach before the actress changed it, according to Reuters.

Now at 12-year-old, she is said to be closest to Jolie and ex-husband Brad Pitt's biological daughter, Shiloh, 11. According to Bossip, Zahara aspires to become a model when she's older and looks up to actress Lupita Nyong'o.
