Miranda Kerr Talks Co-Parenting With Orlando Bloom And His GF Katy Perry: 'We're A Modern Family!'

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom split in 2013 but they remain on good terms while co-parenting their 6-year-old son Flynn. Now that they each have new partners, the model said their relationship with each other remains smooth. In fact, Miranda said that her son gets along well with Orlando's girlfriend Katy Perry.

Speaking to the press at a recent event, Kerr has nothing but good words for her son's dad and his famous pop star girlfriend. Bloom started dating Perry more than a year ago. Kerr, on the other hand, announced she's engaged to Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel in July 2016.

"We're a modern family," the model said during a Harper's Bazaar event, according to People. "They're great," she said of Flynn's relationship with Katy. "They get along really well."

Kerr also said she treats Bloom like a brother now and they still care for each other. "We have a great relationship, so I feel very lucky," the model said.

According to The Edit, Kerr and Bloom made an agreement that when they do get serious with a new partner for at least six months of dating, then that's the only time they can introduce them to Flynn. So when Kerr had to introduce Evan to her son, she had to ask her ex-husband about it first.

The press noted Bloom didn't make his relationship public with Perry until the middle of last year when he and the singer were seen going on a holiday together. According to Harper's Bazaar, Perry has successfully passed the Flynn test as well.

Kerr and Bloom first dated in 2007 and then got married in 2010. The following year, Flynn was born but he was barely 3-years-old when his parents parted ways. In 2015, Kerr started dating Evan and the following year, Perry confirmed she and Bloom are together.
