How This 'Baby Whisperer' Helps Women Above 40 Get Pregnant Without IVF

Emma Cannon runs a fertility clinic specializing in fertility treatments including IVF in the U.K. The expert, dubbed as the "baby whisperer," however, still believes and advocates for women above 40 to get pregnant without IVF.

Cannon has successfully helped plenty of clients in her Fertility Support Clinic since 2004. For the 49-year-old expert, IVF is not the only resort for conceiving in women above 40. In fact, Cannon said society has oversold IVF, which has created the wrong mindset.

"What I'm doing is about cultivating good health," Cannon said, according to Telegraph. "What I'm advocating isn't perfect either, but my clinic works in a more integrated way. We aren't ruling out medicine, we are supporting it."

Cannon said the problem with some people having a hard time conceiving is because they do everything but get regular sex. In many cases, people don't take proper care of their health and body, which can affect fertility.

Cannon said as women get older, their bodies require more rejuvenation and protection. They can improve their fertility, however, by first making healthy lifestyle changes. Among this include picking a better diet, taking vitamins or supplements, and doing regular exercises.

Cannon is also a staunch advocate of acupuncture to help with the body's blood flow. A good blood flow supposedly nourishes the ovaries and the womb better. According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, studies have proven acupuncture works in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) who have problems with conception.

Changing lifestyle doesn't involve just diet or exercise, though, as Cannon said a good sexual habit is also important. Women should understand their body's fertility history and menstrual cycle, too. They must also be aware of the sexual diseases to protect themselves from infections that can damage the reproductive organs, per Daily Mail.

What can you say about Cannon's advocacy? Do you think IVF should definitely be the last resort? Sound off in the comment section below!
