Ashley Graham Changed Her Baby's Diaper in the Most Unexpected Place

Being a mother is a full-time job, and sometimes you have to take care of your baby even in the most unexpected places. That is what the model Ashley Graham did on Friday, February 28, as she changed her baby's diaper in the middle of a Staples Store.

The 32-year-old model shared a photo on her Instagram about one of the challenges of being a mother. The photo showed her changing the dirty diaper of her baby Isaac Menelik Giovanni while she was shopping at a Staples store. Graham was crouched on the flood in the middle of an aisle as she wipes her baby's behind. Her 1-month old child lays on his back as a padded blanket is placed on the floor for him. Her son's face and butt were covered with heart emojis.

She captioned "Sht just got real!" and "First diaper blow up while running errands with no restroom in sight! Thank God I remembered to put the changing mat in the diaper bag!!!"

This is not the first time that the model gave a glimpse into her life as a mother. Graham also shared photos and videos of herself while she was breastfeeding her son and pumping breast milk while other daily tasks. She showed how mothers need to multi-task in order to get other things done.

On February 24, Graham posted on a picture of her baby sleeping on her shoulder and wrote "Isaac loves naps on Mama", she also uploaded two videos on her Instagram Story. Graham said "I'm using my time wisely by watching the documentary Babies on Netflix. I can't get enough. They're so fascinating."

The challenge of diaper changing

All parents know that changing your child's diaper can be difficult, especially for newborn babies. As what Graham showed, you can't put that task aside because you do not want your child sitting in filth.

For those who are finding it difficult to keep their baby at bay while they clean them up and change their diapers, experts say that instead of battling with your child, you can calm them down by singing a song, distract them with toys or divert their attention by playing interesting sounds like animal sounds and nursery rhymes.

Ashley Graham's new life as a mom

The model and her husband, filmmaker Justin Ervin got married in 2010, and on January 18, 2020, she gave birth to her first child at home in a birthing pool. Graham chose to go all-natural and gave birth without any medication, she also revealed that her water broke during her yoga session.

She said on her YouTube show, Pretty Big Deal, that now that she had experienced giving birth and that she did it naturally, she can feel everything. She went through 6 hours of labor and her husband was with her throughout the entire time, giving his full support. Seeing the whole process her strength to push through with the natural labor.

On Graham's show Pretty Big Deal, they revealed the deep meaning behind their son's name. Ervin said that he chose the name Isaac, Menelik means "son of the wise" and Giovanni was to honor his and Graham's grandfathers who are both named John.
