Mariah Carey and her twins, Monroe and Moroccan Scott, are happy about Nick Cannon's latest baby news. The singer's ex-husband announced he would be a dad for the eighth time despite saying that he was embracing celibacy in late 2021.

Cannon confirmed in his talk show that he is the father of model Bre Tiesi's soon-to-be-born baby. A source from Carey's camp revealed that Monroe and Moroccan Scott are thrilled to have another baby sibling. Their dad makes every effort to let all of his kids, from different mothers, know that they are loved equally.

Carey and Cannon divorced when the twins were just five years old, but their dad welcomed five other kids with his girlfriends. Golden, four years old, and Powerful, 13 months, are Cannon's children with Brittany Bell. Twins Zillion and Zion, nearly eight months old, are his kids with Abby De La Rosa.

Cannon lost his five-month-old son, Zen, due to a brain tumor in December 2021. Zen is Cannon's baby with Alyssa Scott.

Cannon's Co-Parenting Secret

According to the source, Carey is not surprised by Cannon's latest baby news, but she's also aware that Cannon has a "very clear role" in the lives of his eldest children. She appreciates that he sees the 10-year-old twins "several times a week."

Another source told Us Weekly that Carey and Cannon are great co-parents because they have a good friendship as ex-couple. While he has a lot of kids to juggle in his life, Cannon knows how to balance his time with all of his children.

The dad said he and Tiesi are expecting a boy later this year and revealed in his baby announcement that all of his kids get along, "grow and see each other," because their mothers are "all amazing women." Cannon said that his secret to co-parenting with the mothers of his kids is to set his ego and selfish behavior aside. He focuses on putting the needs of his kids first more than anything because they deserve the best in life.

On the other hand, Carey said in a 2017 interview that Cannon is a good guy who does not make co-parenting hard work. Since their divorce, Carey said they enjoy more of the good parts of a happy relationship.

Cannon's Journey to Celibacy

In October 2021, Cannon revealed that his therapist told him to practice celibacy after he had four kids in a matter of a few months during the pandemic. The celebrity said that he didn't break the promise to be celibate because Tiesi's pregnancy happened after he started the journey to abstain from sex.

The dad confessed he didn't know what to do after learning of Tiesi's pregnancy and acknowledged that he was out of control. However, Cannon also admitted that he didn't stay celibate for too long, as he planned. His celibacy journey ended before the New Year.

In an interview with People, Cannon said he feels guilty if he doesn't get enough time with his kids and frequently opens up about this to his therapist. He realizes that he's spreading himself too thin with his work commitments, so he ensures that the short moments he gains with his kids are "quality time."
