Colin Kaepernick and Nessa Diab are now officially parents, as the latter announced on Sunday via Instagram the arrival of their first child. In the photo, the two were resting together with the newborn child in what appeared to be a hospital bed.
The 41-year-old radio personality explained that she thought long and hard about sharing the news that had changed their lives. She decided to share the news as it was her first day that she could finally call herself a Mom. The MTV host explained that she and Kaepernick had an amazing baby a few weeks ago and were over the moon with their growing family.
She added that recovering after delivery has been a journey for her, but she wouldn't share anything about it as it is personal to them, and she just realized she's now an official mother. The television actress emphasized that Kaepernick is the most amazing father she could ever wish for; for that, she's beyond grateful as he stayed by their side in every moment of their journey.
According to the People, the "Girl Code" actress said that her way of conversation and perspective towards life experiences have already changed. Her world has gotten much bigger because of their sweet baby. The newborn baby showed the new mother how to love in ways she never knew.
The former "Talk Scoop" host felt grateful to her partner
Diab thanked her partner for supporting and showing love since they first got together. She concluded the post by thanking everyone for their support and signing off with her boyfriend's last name, "Love The Kaepernicks."
Many followers and celebrities flocked to the comment section to congratulate the couple, including celebrities Mariah Carey, Gizelle Bryant, and Wanda Sykes.
The former 49ers quarterback star and his longtime girlfriend did not mention the gender of the baby and were careful not to show the child's face in the sweet snapshot. The baby's arrival came after Kaepernick revealed his interest in returning to the National Football League this year.
The couple has been linked since 2015, New York Post reported.
Nessa and Colin's relationship over the years
Although the couple was first linked in 2015, there were no confirmations from the two regarding their relationship until February 2016. They were spotted in 2016 when they attended a charity function together.
The two had been together for months before they became official at a Valentine's Day event. The longtime couple also founded the Know Your Right Camp, an organization that advances both the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities and promotes the next generation of change leaders.
Kaepernick gushed over his longtime girlfriend when she helped him out with the pledge to donate $1 million to charities that serve oppressed communities. The football star said he's proud of his girl, and words cannot describe how thankful he is for everything his girlfriend has done with him, Bustle reports.
