"The Vampire Diaries" fans are ecstatic after a trailer for the second half of season 7 has been released online, and it seems that there will be a lot going on for the numerous characters of the show. The teaser trailer of the episode showed the younger Salvatore still under the sadistic hold of Julian while Damon has been freed.

It is alluded that Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will be resurrected by Bonnie (Kat Graham) using the mysterious gem of hers. On the first half of season 7 both Salvatore brothers, Damon and Stefan, were trapped inside the Phoenix Stone.

Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan Salvatore, also reveals that Elena Gilbert still plays a pivotal role on how season 7 will play out. There will also be an appearance of a cruel vampire hunter for the second half of season 7 named Rayna, who is played by actress Leslie-Anne Huff, and is reported to go after Wesley's character, Stefan.

Super famous TV show "The Vampire Diaries" half of season 7 is rumored to air this Jan. 29 and fans cannot wait. "The Vampire Diaries" has lost one of its most important main characters Elena, played by Nina Dobrev, after the actress left the show on its fifth season.

On the same season, there was also a drop in rating in the 18 to 45 age groups that became a big concern for the producers of the show. Now, rumors are rising that "The Vampire Diaries" will be given the ax due to the lost interest of the 18 to 45 groups.

Some critics believe that CW's decision to move the time slot of "The Vampire Diaries" from its supposedly Thursday air date to a Friday is a telltale sign that the show will be soon cancelled. On the other hand, others believe that there will still be an eight season for "The Vampire Diaries" due to its popularity still with the Internet crowd.
