Square Enix is finally developing a remake of "Final Fantasy 7." According to rumors, the much-awaited video game may arrive in 2017.
Last December, during the E3 Conference held in Los Angeles, California, Square Enix presented the audience a preview of what's to come in the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake." According to MNR Daily, the game developer studio showed a few game elements but didn't say much about the upcoming "Final Fantasy 7 Remake."
Other reports claim that the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will preserve a popular plot from a previous installment but will come with a major upgrade to the graphics. The "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will use the same storyline as in the 1997 video game in order to attract fans of the game series.
"Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will be based on "Final Fantasy 7" and the game producer took the decision to work again on this installment aiming to elevate the original setting to higher levels for the players. Square Enix did not confirm whether the game is indeed coming out in 2017, but several reports speculate that it will be the case.
"Final Fantasy" game franchise producer Yoshinori Kitase declared that remaking of "Final Fantasy 7" gives Square Enix a chance to go beyond the setting of the original "Final Fantasy 7" game. He added that the new graphics developed for the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" are adding more quality to the playing experience.
Not everyone is optimistic about the upcoming "Final Fantasy 7 Remake". According to BitBag, the developers may destroy the original game if they alter the storyline into the remake. Since the "Final Fantasy 7" storyline is already perfect, rewriting and altering the story might lead to the game's demise.
"Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will suit the gamers' modern way of playing but it can also destroy the classic "Final Fantasy" gaming experience. For instance, incorporating exclusive online playing features often seen in more contemporary video games may ruin the game.
