Razer has released a new Blade gaming laptop. The new Razer laptop has been completely redesigned to become the best gaming laptop on the market.
Gaming laptops are usually expensive and large. But over the past few years notebook brands specialized in designing gaming laptops have made efforts to develop thin devices. Razer marks another step in that direction with their new Blade gaming laptop.
On March 15, Razer has announced this year's Blade on its company's website. The new Blade is less expensive, more powerful and more compact than last year's model. The laptop is set to ship in April and preorders start immediately.
The new Blade comes with even faster performance while remaining extremely thin. The gaming laptop comes with powerful hardware and a sharp screen. It features a 14-inch QHD+ touch screen that can reach a 3200 x 1800 resolution.
Blade has more power than any gaming or ultraportable laptop in its class. According to Time, the laptop runs on Intel's sixth-generation quad-core Core i7 processor and features the Nvidia's GeForce GTX 970M graphics card. Users who need to upgrade their graphics card can opt for Razer's Core external graphics enclosure that will be available soon for the new Blade.
The new Blade comes with the company's Chroma anti-ghosting keyboard that is also found in Razer's Stealth laptop. The Chroma keyboard includes programmable colored lights under every key.
Featuring PCI solid state storage performance and Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C), the Razer Blade is the most advanced gaming laptop on the market. At 4.25 pounds, the new Razer Blade model is slightly lighter than the 2015 Blade model weighing 4.45 pound. Other gaming laptops can weight almost double as much. For instance, the 17-inch screen Asus G751JT weighs 8.4 pounds.
The new Razer Blade is cheaper than older models, coming at a starting price tag of $2,000. Previously, the old Razer Blade model came at a price of $2,399 for a system with a QHD+ screen.
