Brandon Routh is on Baby's Duty at Night

Despite being busy with his new role in the CBS sitcom "Partners," Brandon Routh, can't compromise his responsibilities as a father to his infant son.

The 32-year-old of "Superman Returns" fame and his wife Courtney Ford, welcomed their first child, Leo James, on Aug. 10 are enjoying each and everything about their bundle of joy.

"He's growing so fast," the proud father told People magazine. "My mom saved a pair of pajamas from when I was 3 months old and Leo already fits into them. In fact, he's growing out of them. He's busting out of most of his clothes, it's hard to keep up!"

During a chat with Access Hollywood, the actor revealed his prominent role in his son's life.

"I'm the diaper changer/nurse at night time," he told Access. "Or if he's not going to sleep, I put him on my chest and it helps him, you know, pat his back and get him to sleep."

He was confused while talking about dressing up his son as Superman for Halloween.

"Oh man, I don't know," he told Access with a chuckle. "I hadn't thought about that. If he begs me enough or he begs his mom. He'd probably talk his mom into it but I don't know, who knows? He, he may not care at all!"

Like the father, the new mom Ford, well-known for her roles in "True Blood," "Dexter" and "Parenthood" is also overjoyed with her motherhood experiences.

"The other day he gave me the surprise pee sneak-attack," Ford told People. "That cracked him up. It's the cutest little laugh; it just kills me."

Routh was working as a bartender when he first met Ford in 2003. After three years of dating, the couple got engaged in 2006 and tied the knot the following year.
