"The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals" fans may still have a chance at seeing their fan-favorite couple, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) together. In a recent interview with TVLine, the spinoff series' producer Michael Narducci shared his thoughts on a possible "Klaroline" romance in the show.
"I don't want to speak for what they're doing on ['The Vampire Diaries'], but it certainly seemed like Klaus was saying to Caroline that he would always care for her and respect her, but he understood she had moved on," he said.
While this may seem like a bad news for "Klaroline" fans, the producer added that Klaus still cares for Caroline when he spoke with Stefan at the cemetery.
"Klaus kind of just said, 'Do right by Caroline, and if you do that, you'll never have to worry about me again,'" he added.
This statement shown a bit of hope among "Klaroline" fans, as Stefan has been seemingly busy with his brotherly duties and has not been paying attention to Caroline lately. This led to speculations that Klaus will once again come to the rescue and save Caroline on either "TVD" or "The Originals."
Meanwhile, "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 may be the show's last season on TV. Kat Graham recently announced her departure from the show after its upcoming season, reports OK! Magazine.
Graham expressed her gratitude to the fans and viewers and stated that she hopes to leave "The Vampire Diaries" with the entire cast and crew.
"If the crew can come with me, then we'll be good," she said in a statement.
