‘Days of Our Lives’ Cast & Spoilers: Jen Lilley Is Leaving DAYS; Will Theresa Get Killed?

Rumors have been running around regarding a character leaving NBC's "Days of Our Lives," and now she has been named as Jen Lilley, who has been playing Theresa Donovan for three years already. While nothing has been officially confirmed, Daytime Confidential reported that multiple sources said Lilley has decided to pack her bags. Will she be gone temporarily or for good?

Jen Lilley Quits

Words started to go around about Lilley's departure when Kirsten Storms of "General Hospital" was reported to be needing a recast and the name of the actress was one of the firsts to appear. But as fans probably already know, it turned out her former DAYS co-star Molly Burnett is taking the temporary gig in GH.

Theresa Donovan To Be Killed Off

According to spoilers via Celeb Dirty Laundry, Theresa Donovan's character might be killed off. It could be health related, an illness that would slowly develop and eventually take her life.

To support such rumors, words from the grapevine said Theresa's parents, Patsy Pease (Kim Donovan) and Charles Shaughnessy (Shane Donovan), are back filming on the St. Luke's set. A church scene, plus a blind item saying that family members will come back to bid goodbye, indicate that there is a possible funeral.

DAYS films its episodes six months ahead and it would be not until the end of this year before Jen Lilley's exit will be aired, it rumors turned out to be true. But already, Lilley looks to be finding a new a career as a children's book author. She tweeted about looking whom to partner with her book, possibly from among the sponsors of "Days of Our Lives."

She added, "Also, if any of you work for a children's book publisher, holler at me. I'm pumped that after 4 years of working on this series, it's ready!"
