Months after the last episode of "Alaskan Bush People" Season 5 was aired, the fate of the show's Season 6 is still hanging up to now. Is it cancelled or renewed?
Discovery Channel has not released any recent confirmation on whether "Alaskan Bush People" Season 6 is happening or not. The only fact fans have been holding on to is the announcement way back in March that "Alaskan Bush People" is one of the shows listed to return in the 2016-2017 TV season.
Bam Bam Brown has recently updated his Facebook page and quashed the rumors that the show is cancelled. "Please DISREGARD stupid tabloid rumors that the show is cancelled. It 100% is not - Discovery already publicized there will be a new season, and DC camera and production crew have been updating their social media pages with pictures of them filming in Alaska," he wrote.
He also promoted a two-hour "Alaskan Bush People" episode airing on Nov. 9. However, Bam Bam clarified that this is not the "Alaskan Bush People" Season 6 premiere yet. "To avoid any confusion, Nov. 9th is not the start date of the new season! Still no word on this official date. But there will be a new episode for us that perhaps is intended to whet our ABP appetites again," he said.
Matt Brown has also given an update regarding the Nov. 9 episode. "There are 7 episodes scheduled that day including the "Appliances" special. We're getting closer to showtime! *We'll post the times once we are closer to the air date* Have an awesome Saturday!!" he wrote on Facebook.
As previously reported by Parent Herald, Matt Brown has also gave an update that "Alaskan Bush People" is gearing up for Season 6. He wrote on his Facebook page, "It's Tuesday and time for more ABP replays! Looks like Discovery channel is getting us ready for the new season. The return date hasn't been announced yet but we have been hearing early November."
Reports about the show's fakery have been circulating over the internet. Still, fake or not, many viewers find "Alaskan Bush People" an interesting show to watch.
