Since the Surface Pro 4's release in 2015, it has been one of the most coveted devices. Now that users are waiting for the official release of Surface Pro 5, the Surface Pro 4 is still up there giving a good competition to devices such as the MacBook Pro, Zenbook 3 and others.

According to CNET, the Surface Pro 4 is equipped with robust processing power, a perfectly sized display and just the right aspect ratio. The Surface Pro 4 indeed solidified the Surface's position as the gold standard for Windows tablets.

The Surface Pro 4 comes with 12.3-inch 2,736 x 1,824-pixel touchscreen display. It also has 2.4GHz Intel Core i5-6300U. The Surface Pro 4 comes with 8GB of memory. The graphics also do not disappoint with 128MB Intel HD Graphics 520.

The Surface Pro 4 also coincided with Microsoft's launch of Windows 10 as it comes with the latest OS. It also has 256GB SSD for its memory.

The Surface Pro 4 is 1.7-pounds light by itself and becomes 2.5-pounds with keyboard cover and stylus pen attached. It is known that the Surface Pro 4 has perfected the pen which is perfect for users who are into graphics. A lot of other manufacturers have attempted to pattern devices after Surface Pro 4 but has not come close.

As added by Tech Radar, the Surface Pro 4 have easily beaten its rival MacBook Air in terms of the ever important resolution. Surface Pro 4's comes with 267 ppi compared to MacBook Air's 128 ppi for the 13-inch and iPad Pro at 264 ppi.

Microsoft's attempt to level up their tablets came out successfully making other manufacturers rethink of ways to innovate their own. It is unique for Surface line, especially the Surface Pro 4 to come with Stylus which is only present on mobile phones, particularly that of Samsung's Note Series.

Surface Pro 4 may be overshadowed by the highly anticipated Surface Pro 5, but until then, it is still a good device to own. If the device is still living up to its purpose, then Surface Pro 4 doesn't need to be replaced, especially if it is for another device.

Surface Pro 4 is a tablet but can also be considered a laptop because of its performance. Though it can't go head to head with MacBook or even MacBook Air in most aspects, it is still a good alternative and can perform most jobs which usually requires a laptop to complete.
