Are you a busy mom? Do you consider yourself to be one? Do you always work and go home late and you barely have time for your family? Or are you one of those moms who find it hard to balance both work and family time? If you're either of those, you have come to the right article.

We all know how moms can be very busy and always running around. A lot of moms are working moms and most of them work the whole day or even doing late shifts. In fact, statistics from the Center for American Progress have proven that half of the population of workers in the U.S are all women, and most of them are working moms. Being a full-time worker and a hands-on mom can be a tough job, and it's definitely not easy to do. Working moms tend to feel more pressure, stress, and frustration because their attention is divided between family and work.

However, this does not need to be a problem. The key to effectively handle both work and family time is through concrete planning of schedules and to-do's, be organized, and find the right balance in being a parent and a professional. If you want to know more about how to find the right balance, here are six ways that you can follow and apply in balancing your work and family time without feeling too stressed and pressured.

  1. Don't feel guilty. Always think about the purpose of why you are working. Instead of thinking that you could have been with your child at home taking care of him, you should always remember that you are working because of him. With your work, you can provide your child's wants and needs. However, you need to set your priorities straight. This way, you will feel less guilty, and you can focus more on what's important.

  2. Find help with childcare. Nannies are there to help you get through your parenthood. You can look for childcare help through daycare centers, or you can even find a babysitter for your children. You can make your own criteria in hiring a nanny or babysitter and then schedule them for an interview. Always remember that excellent references from centers and people you know can be a good basis for hiring a nanny for your child.

  3. Mornings should be easier. You can always organize food for your children the night before. This way you don't have to wake up too early in order to help them get ready for school or to make breakfast. Planning ahead is very effective especially for busy moms and parents. You can decide on what to eat for breakfast, make their lunch preps the night before, and set their backpacks, clothes, and things ready for tomorrow. This will also teach your choldren the importance of proper planning and execution.

  4. Make an organizer for the whole family. Having an organized schedule will help you stick to the date and will let the whole family know what events are happening within the month or week. You can always note the schedule of bills, school and family events, birthdays, other activities, as well as your children's chore chart.

  5. Be open with your employer. It is important that you keep your employer updated about your status at home. The key to a good employer-employee relationship is through communication. When asking for leave, you should be honest with your reasons and you and your employer should be clear with the terms.

  6. Avoid distractions. When you're at work, put your full focus on your job. If you're at home, focus on being a mom to your kids and a wife to your husband. Always remember that balancing work and family is possible, but you also need to draw a line between them when it comes to attention and focus.
