Kate Middleton Reveals Parenting Struggles in Rare Interview

Parenting is a struggle for every parent, and even royalty and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton can agree to that. In an interview in a podcast with Happy Mum, Happy Baby, the royal duchess shared her motherhood journey and parenting experience to the public and dropped her secrets and struggles when it comes to motherhood and parenting her children.

In a 35-minute interview, Middleton spoke about a variety of topics mostly about her life as a duchess and a parent at the same time. The duchess discussed her difficulties during her pregnancy and why she chose to go for a hypnobirthing process when giving birth

Middleton mentioned her parenting ways and revealed that it is not her full responsibility to do everything around the house. She also revealed that she sometimes feels guilty about her whole motherhood experience almost all the time. She feels unsure at times whether or not she is doing the right thing in raising her children. Middleton also discussed how it is hard to raise children with all the responsibilities she has on her plate. 

Throughout the whole talk in the podcast, the duchess further discussed motherhood issues and topics like how a mother's emotional well-being can impact a child's development. Aside from a mother's physical health, it is important to consider your emotional well-being when raising children. According to Middleton, she has learned a lot of lessons in raising her three adorable children namely Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. 

The 38-year old duchess also revealed that she is fascinated with all the lessons she learned throughout the years of being a mother to her children. Every day, she gets to engage conversations and memorable moments with her children and just being like that, she gets to learn from them. Middleton also discussed her pregnancy process and how she thought of doing things differently, knowing the importance of the early years she had.

The podcast also featured Middleton's early years through a U.K-wide survey named "5 Big Questions on the Under Fives." it is an anonymous survey where she engages mothers and parents alike in the whole country to start a conversation about parenting challenges, issues, and struggles with parents. She promoted this survey during the podcast and hopes that this open conversation would help parents across the country in their parenting dilemmas. This survey also opens opportunities and find solutions that could help a better future for the next generation.

Middleton discussed her pregnancy experience and reflected on the three pregnancies she had. She mentioned about her morning sickness and how the pregnancy process for her. Although a lot of pregnant women would have gone through worse, her pregnancy experience was very challenging for her and everyone who surrounded her during that time. She mentioned how "utterly rotten" she felt during those time and it was awful.

Because of her condition, the duchess opted for a hypnobirthing method as a way of giving birth. She explained that hypnobirthing is a delivery process where she realizes the great power of the mind over the body. Hypnobirthing is a childbirth education course that a mother has to go through to emphasize natural childbirth and teaches pregnant women self-hypnosis techniques to fight over fear and pain during the delivery process. There are certain levels that a pregnant woman will go through in hypnobirthing. The duchess further shared her experience from her meditation sessions and simply doing deep breathes every now and then, Middleton saw the power of hypnobirthing and it became effective in her case.

Despite the struggles that Middleton went through her pregnancies, she shared how grateful and happy she is now with her children and how a woman's body is capable of such an amazing process and how fulfilling it was for her as a mother.
