Transformers Actress Sophia Myles' Dad Dies of Coronavirus

Sophia Myles' father, Peter Myles, died from the coronavirus according to her post on her Twitter account on March 22.

Myles posted on her Twitter account, announcing that her dad has died only a few hours before the post. She also says that it was the coronavirus that took him. More than 35,000 people have liked the post and over 9500 are talking about it.

Many people commented, offering condolences and saying they are sorry to hear the sad news. They are sending all their love to Myles. 

@drjanaway says that he is so sorry and asks Myles to take care of herself. He also says that what Myles is feeling is natural, okay, and expected. He advises her to talk and get some support. He also wishes for the actress's father's memory to be forever a comfort and inspiration to her. 

@TalulahRiley is also sorry and is sending love to Myles and her family. 

Myles posted another photo of her all protected, her mask and latex glove, while resting her hands on the forehead of Peter Myles, her father. She captions the photo by saying that 'yesterday' she went on a journey to see her father. She adds that that is the harsh reality of the coronavirus. 

Over the past few weeks, the 40-year-old actress has shared many photos and videos of her father on Twitter, posting updates on her father's condition. She told the CBS News last March 14 that she is "fully prepared to watch her father die".

A lot of the stars have tested positive with the COVID-19. Tom Hanks, Idris Elba, Rita Wilson, Kristofer Hivju, Manu Dibango, Daniel Dae Kim, to name a few. These public figures were posting positive vibes online to help give people hope; however, younger children and older people are more at risk of getting infected. 

When the elderly or those who have preexisting conditions get infected, they lower chances of getting better and pose a higher risk of mortality.

COVID-19 has disrupted a lot of industries around the world, specifically the entertainment industry. Many television shows have stopped taping and theatrical releases have rescheduled. Disney parks were forced to cease operation and temporarily shut down. London Book Fair did not push through. Warner Bros. has no choice but to cancel the premiere of Superman: Red Son. Companies have been pulling out of The Game Developers Conference for this year's event. 

Updates from Worldometers report that over 300,000 cases and 13,000 people have already died across the globe. The father of Sophia Myles is one of those who died from the pandemic. 

Sophia Myles is best known for Transformers: Age of Extinction, Underworld, and Tristan & Isolde. She also starred in The Girl in the Fireplace with her role as "Doctor Who".
