3 Beautiful Generations: Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson, and Rani Rose in Front Cover Photo

Early in February in Los Angeles, Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson sat down after their photoshoot with Hudson's 16-month-old daughter Rani Rose for People's annual Beautiful Issue, and both were nostalgic. 

Hawn said that it is a big deal when your daughter has a daughter, as musician Danny Fujikawa took Hawn's granddaughter, Rani, for an afternoon nap. Hudson previously posed for an issue in 2008 and aid that she is excited now because she is with "little Rani Rose." 

"The third-generation," she added.  

The mother-daughter stars are very grateful for their family and the unbreakable bond that they have. The 41-year-old actress said that now is an exciting time for reflection on what is truly important, as she spends quality time with Fujikawa, 33, and her two sons, Ryder, 16, and Bing, 8, from the Los Angeles two months after the photoshoot.

The 74-year-old star is currently self-isolating with Kurt Russell, 69, her partner of 37 years. She said that to get through the global health crisis, you should focus on meditation, nurturing, and loving kindness in your heart, and above all, she advises everyone to stay safe inside. 

Hudson is Proud of Her Mother 

In the cover story, the mother-daughter talked about everything under the sun while sharing lots of laughter and building memories. Kate Hudson said that her mother gave her the floor to help her develop her confidence and to make her feel that she could own her life. 

She added that her mom is her greatest cheerleader who is making her think about her daughter Rani, and hoping that she could also give the same kind of confidence that she receives from her mom. 

Hudson is also inspired by the 37 years relationship of her mom to partner Russell. She said that to live up to that is excellent. Adding to that, she said that the couple had been the center of their lives during times of turmoil because they were able to maintain a unit for all of them. 

Hawn said that having children and a man that loves your children is a very tough bond. 

Kate Hudson credits her mom for her sound advice. Her mom always reminds her not to let a man "dim your light", so she has never defined herself through the way a man sees her, but by the unit that they could create together, which was given by her mom.

Hudson celebrated her 41st birthday on April 19, and her mom Goldie shared a sweet birthday message on her Instagram account, saying that she loves her deeply and could not imagine her life without her. She added that she is so proud of her daughter.
