Before the spread of the coronavirus, Katie Lee and husband Ryan Biegel wanted to know the sex of their baby in September. However, because they want a piece of good news during this chaos, they decided to know it earlier than planned.

According to Lee, in her Instagram account, she and her husband enjoyed the reveal, considering that they did it with her The Kitchen family. She wrote, "My husband @ryanbiegel and I are very excited to share that we are having a baby girl! It was so much fun to do our "reveal" this morning."

However, even if she was a healthy woman, who eats a balanced diet and exercises, they still went through a challenging phase in conceiving a child.

She shared this in 2019 in a lengthy Instagram post. She started the post by saying that she had been receiving messages asking her when she will get pregnant or if she was pregnant. The then, 37-year-old also shared experiences where she received comments about gaining weight and felt the need to comment back.

Lee also explained how IVF or In Vitro Fertilization, one of their hopes to get pregnant, crushed their dreams. Lee also had to go through surgery to correct something and then got an infection. But despite these, Lee and her husband remained hopeful.

Lee shared her story of infertility to remind others who are in a similar situation that they are not alone. A lot of women showed their support to Lee, and since then, she has seen the effect of overwhelming messages and positivity in their struggles.

The Pregnancy Announcement

In February, Lee revealed via Instagram as well, that she is expecting. She showed off her baby bump while eating a bowl of spaghetti. The caption of the photo was, "Eating for two! Baby Biegel on the way."

The fans of the chef and cookbook author were all enthralled with the announcement. Some even shared how they also went through the same struggles as Lee but remained positive despite it. Others said they never doubted that a baby is coming the couple's way.
