iOS 9 Release: Update Plagued With Issues? Customers Report Complaints

Apple's release of the iOS 9 update came with complaints from users, indicating that it was plagued with issues.

According to GottaBeMobile.com, although the iOS 9 update looks like the iOS 8, looks can be deceiving. The update comes with a lot of new features, which includes a revamped Notes app, a new keyboard, an enhanced battery life, and much more. However, as with new updates, it also came with its problems that plagued users.

Big system upgrades usually come with a collection of issues, which in this case is what happened. It's easy to understand, though, as the update is relatively new and has just hit the market.

The Inquirer reminds users that before downloading the iOS 9 update, users should back up their device.

GottaBeMobile reports that the first issued complaint with the iOS 9 update was the downloading issue. The download failed for many users, and forced those who desperately wanted the update at the time of release to do it via iTunes. Right now, the problem seems to be resolved, and users can just download it over-the-air with no further trouble.

Also, as is a common issue with iOS upgrades, some downloads were reported to have been stuck. This can be fixed by a quick reboot of the device (whether it's an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch).

Aside from the common download and installation problems, users have reported various issues as well, such as random iPad freezing, web-related bugs, Podcast app issues, animation speed issues, issues moiving from the beta to the public release version of iOS 9, screen rotation issues, and much more.

One important thing to note is that such issues are isolated, meaning, it only happened to those who downloaded the update as soon as it became available. iOS 8 users are safe from the problems, and aren't forced to update their devices' iOS.

If ever you have upgraded to iOS 9 but find yourself in a mess as the update doesn't work or function well, you can opt to downgrade to iOS 8.4.1, and temporarily escape from iOS 9 issues, at least until it's resolved.

Apple hasn't announced whether an update is coming or not, so users will just have to be resourceful if ever they come across issues with the new update. The Inquirer reports that the issues came after Apple found a "critical bug" in the Apple WatchOS 2, forcing its delay.

GottaBeMobile reports that on the bright side, it looks like an update to the iOS 9 will be released late October or November, along with the iPad Pro.
