After Sandra Bullock surprised some frontline workers during a special Mother's Day edition of Red Table Talk on Facebook Watch, she gave the viewers at home another sweet surprise; a rare appearance from her 8-year-old daughter, Laila.

Red Table Talk is a show of Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter Willow, and her mother Gammy, that tackles the most important and provocative topics of the day with an inter-generational perspective.

The episode tackles the difficulties during the pandemic and how people are dealing with quarantine. Through this episode, Red Table Talk honors mothers who are on the front lines of the fight against the coronavirus disease pandemic.

Sandra Bullock's Guesting

Through this show, the famous mother of two, Sandra Bullock, made an appearance together with her daughter, Laila.

The appearance was a special episode for Mother's Day, hence the guesting of Bullock who is a mother of two.

Bullock celebrates the mothers like her, especially those on the front line of defense against the pandemic. However, the appearance of her daughter, Laila, was a surprise.

Sandra Bullock's Choice for Her Children

For Bullock, she has preferred to keep her children's private lives private, away from the scrutinizing eyes and interest of the public, and different from her glitz and glamorous life onscreen and in showbiz.

This means that in the media, glimpses of her children are few and far between. Thus, Laila's cameo on the show made it all the more exciting and surprising, as well as making a buzz because of it (hence an article was written about her appearance).

Laila greeted the frontline heroes with a simple "hi" and thanked them for doing everything that they can for everyone.

The 55-year-old actress expressed her sentiments about her daughter. According to her, Laila is their world superhero, and that she is going to be the one to save the world in their family.

In 2015, the Oscar-winning actress adopted the then 3-year-old Laila, who had been in foster care in Louisiana.

According to Bullock, whenever she looks at her daughter, Laila, there is no doubt in her mind that she was supposed to be with them. And remembering the time when she also adopted her first child, Louis, in 2010, Bullock added that she can absolutely tell that the exact right children came to her at the exact right time.

Bullock's life was changed by her kids

In 2018, during an emotional interview with Hoda Kotb of TODAY, Bullock opened up about how having kids has changed her life, and how she has learned how her decision to create a family through adoption has changed other people's lives too.

Many families are still skeptical about adopting and adoption in itself. However, through Bullock's experience, it may be a way of encouragement for others to build their own family through the same process.

And as Bullock had mentioned, adoption will not only change your lives but those children's lives as well.
