Strongest Baby: 8-Week-Old Baby Stands on His Own, Parents Are Surprised

As early as 8-weeks-old, Lula, daughter of Tezra Finn-Johnston, 31 years old, and his girlfriend, Emily Derrick, 23, already has the strength to stand. It is unusual for her age.

Tezra jokes that it's the strongman clips on YouTube that probably inspired Lula's strength.

Five days after baby's birth

The couple from Kingswood, Bristol in the U.K., welcomed their daughter last January 31. During birth, Little Lula was not extraordinary. She weighed 5lbs 9oz, which means she weighed less than 5% of the other babies.

However, as soon as they got home from the hospital, the couple already noticed Lula's strength. According to Tezra, five days after being born, Lula was already able to support her head.

Baby started crawling

After watching the documentary Babies on Netflix, Tezra and Emily learned that part of babies' inherent program is crawling since they were born. Upon knowing this, they gave it a try with Lula. When they put her on the mat, and she tried crawling a bit.

Tezra was assisting Lula during this process, and they seem to notice that she is enjoying it.

"It's like she's trying to be a big girl!" Tezra said.

Baby's leg strength at first month

Besides supporting her own head, Baby Lula's legs were strong when she was one month old.

Lula was having a tantrum when Tezra tried to calm her by having her sit on his leg. However, instead of sitting, Lula stood on her father's knee. She does not even want to bend her knees during that time.

In the following weeks, Lula was also able to do this again. Tezra thought, "Well, if she can do it while she's annoyed, maybe she can do it when she's happy."

When Tezra tried to support Lula in standing, she eventually succeeded in catching her weight.

Baby is like a fan of Strongman Competitions

Tezra is a real fan of Strongman Competitions. He likes watching these on YouTube. When Lula watches the competitions with Tezra, he notices that his baby is also engaged. That is pretty much the reason why he keeps on joking that this was his daughter's inspiration to train her body.

Why is the baby is strong

According to Tezra, he thinks that his daughter has a good muscle to weight ratio. Tezra thinks so because Lula was a small baby when she was born.

He also thinks that it is probably the genes. Tezra says that he builds muscle quickly, a characteristic his daughter might have inherited.

When babies start standing on their own

According to Parents.com, standing without support happens when the baby has enough muscle strength in the legs, tummy, and hips. That is for the baby to support his or her weight.

In terms of age, studies show that it is at around eight months when babies usually stand on their own. Although a baby at 15 months who is just starting to stand on their own is still considered normal.

Standing on their own at nine months is also an indication that the baby is ready to start walking.
