Terry Crews' wife, Rebecca Crews, successfully battled breast cancer after undergoing a double mastectomy.

Rebecca Crews had undergone double mastectomy two weeks after being diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer in late March. Rebecca's strength has inspired Terry. During an interview with "The Late Late Show," the "America's Got Talent" host said that his wife is a warrior because she said that they are going to fight and be proactive as they take care of the illness right away.

He also said that the courage of Rebecca had blown him away because it was inspiring.

Crews' world has stopped after the diagnosis

Terry said that Rebecca's positive approach to the treatment has helped out enormously, especially after the COVID-19 quarantine took place. He took over the cooking, cleaning, and other house chores.

He said that it made him more thankful for what they have. Adding to that, he also said that their world stopped, but being Rebecca's nurse has made him feel incredible because this is the only chance that he could do that. Terry was on the treadmill when his wife came into the room and told him that she was diagnosed with cancer. Rebecca told Terry that she was going to do whatever it takes to fight back and face the problem head-on.

Crews couple has many obstacles for three decades

Terry wrote an opinion piece for CNN, where he talked about his wife's diagnosis and all the struggles that they have gone through during their 30 years together. He said that they had overcome many challenges, setbacks, and periods of defeat. He shared that they encountered miscarriages, addiction, the loss of home, and other personal trials that test relationships. Still, there was nothing compared to hearing the words that Rebecca has uttered.

Terry prioritizes their health by staying active, eating well, and having annual full-body checkups because they are now more than 50 years old. Rebecca undergoes a mammogram every year. At the beginning of 2020, the doctors found that there was something during the procedure, which was cancer.

Initially, they found cancer on one of Rebecca's breasts, but after asking too many questions, she decided to get a double mastectomy. During the surgery, they discovered that cancer has spread to the other breast also.

Terry said that he is so proud of the woman who raised their children and who has shown him what real strength looks like as they celebrated Mother's Day. He also said that the strength that she has made all the difference in their cancer story.

Adding to that, he said that when times like that happens, it is tempting to freeze and pretend that everything is going to be alright. Terry proudly said that Rebecca did not freeze; instead, she stood her ground to face her fears, just like how David fought Goliath.
