As unfortunate as it may seem, some babies are taken away from their parents at an early age. Whether it is because of an accident or an illness, losing a baby is painful for parents who probably waited long to carry their babies in their arms.

For those who consider the concept of heaven and hell, there is probably one question that lingers to their minds. That is whether their babies are granted eternal peace in heaven.

When babies are not yet developing their moral compass and have not developed any form of response to the Gospel, some people ask whether babies go to heaven when they die.

There are a lot of possible explanations for this question. Theologians gathered explanations to this question, citing Biblical scriptures to support the answers:

Babies go to heaven according to Romans 1:20

For the Pastor Sam Storms, he explains that there is a possibility that the babies who are part of a Christian family are possibly saved automatically. The apostle Paul cited in his text that there is no excuse for those who have received the revelation. That is because everything in this world is given to humans as clearly as possible. This text also suggests the inclusion of babies who died in infancy.

Babies go to heaven according to Deuteronomy 1:39

According to this verse from the Bible, babies have no concept of good or evil. Some theologians say that this could be a way to believe that there is infant salvation.

Considering that they have not done anything which may be considered as evil, then it is safe to say that babies go to heaven.

Babies go to heaven according to 2 Corinthians 5:10

The Bible explains that eternal judgment is based on how people consciously commit sins and reject divine revelation. People who die are believed to be judged before entering the kingdom of God. They are judged according to the sins which they have committed while they are still alive.

Children or babies are saved because they are not capable of disobedience or rejection of the revelation. Babies go to heaven because, to begin with, they cannot conform in any of the conditions for divine judgment.

Babies go to heaven according to Luke 1:15

In the verses from the writings of the apostle Luke, it is stated that babies are saved even before their birth. It is also said that the Holy Spirit fills the baby while they are in their mother's womb. That is why it is believed that babies go to heaven even though they died during infancy.

Babies go to heaven according to Matthew 19:14

In one of the famous stories of the Bible, Jesus talks about the children. Jesus implies to his message that those who would like to be saved should live like the children. Theologians say that if Jesus is describing the kind of people who can enter the kingdom of God, therefore it is okay to say that babies go to heaven.
