The Lori Vallow story is one of the most talked-about in terms of mysterious deaths and her missing children.

Lori Vallow, with Chad Daybell, is questioned by authorities regarding matters involving her kids, Tylee, who is 17 years old and JJ, seven years old. Before reaching this day's investigations, their story has had a couple of twists and turns. This story includes previous marriages, their partners' mysterious deaths, missing children, and corpses unearthed from the backyard of Daybell.

Lori Vallow Story: Her Previous Marriages

In 2001, Lori married the father of Tylee, Joseph Anthony Ryan Jr. They eventually filed for a divorce in 2004. Ryan is the third husband of Lori.

In 2006, Lori re-married in Las Vegas with a man named Leland "Charles" Anthony. They, later on, adopted Joshua Jaxon "JJ" Vallow. JJ is the grandson of Kay Woodcock, the sister of Charles.

On the other hand, Chad Daybell was married to a 49-year-old school librarian named Tammy Daybell. She helped Chad with the small publishing company that he owns.

In early 2019, court records show that Charles Vallow and Lori are no longer affectionate.

It was Charles who filed for a divorce. He stated in the file that he started to have fears about Lori's changed beliefs and that his wife will kill him. Charles described Lori's views as cult-like. He also shared that his wife claimed to be "a god assigned to carry out the work of the 144,000 at Christ's second coming in July 2020."

In July, Charles was killed by Lori's brother, Alex Cox.

According to the police report, Alex shot his brother-in-law because he was defending himself from Charles. Cox narrated that Charles was coming at him with a baseball bat.

Lori was never tangled in any part of the investigation during that time. However, the case of Charles Vallow did not prosper as Cox also died in December 2019 due to a blood clot in his lung.

Chad's wife, in another incident in October 2019, died in her sleep. According to her obituaries, it was due to natural causes.

How did the Lori Vallow story start with Chad Daybell?

In 2014, Charles and Lori Vallow moved to Hawaii with their kids, JJ and Tylee. During this time, Lori became hooked to reading books, which were written by Chad Daybell.

Chad and Lori met in 2018. It was during a class taught by Daybell in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

After their first meeting, the two became close. Lori even joined Chad in conferences where Chad was giving talks.

After Charles, the fourth husband of Lori, died in 2019, Lori moved to Idaho. She brought with her JJ and Tylee.

Lori was still evidently close to Chad. They even had podcasts where they talked about the preparation for the biblical end times.

Two weeks after the death of Tammy, Chad and Lori got married. This led to authorities to suspect. That is why they exhumed Tammy Daybell's body and conducted an investigation. That is despite the initial refusal of the family for an autopsy.

In November, the biological grandparents of JJ started to become worried about JJ's situation. That is why they asked the police to have a welfare check on the kids.

When authorities came to the house of Chad and Lori, the two lied about the kids. On the following day, the two were no longer found in the house.

In 2020, a judge ordered Lori to bring Tylee and JJ to officials. That is to prove the safety of the kids. Lori failed to do so, leading to her arrest.

On June 10, bodies were found buried at the home of Chad Daybell in Idaho.

The extended families of Tylee and JJ believe that these bodies belong to the two kids.

Lori Vallow has multiple charges. These charges include felony, desertion, and nonsupport of children.

Daybell, on the other hand, was charged for destroying evidence. According to a report from CNN, the recent turn of events also raised questions about the death of other family members of Vallow and Daybell.
