Since Meghan Markle got married to Prince Harry, the couple had become the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. However, since they gave up their royal duties, they are not considered members of the royal family anymore. It also means that baby Archie will also not have a royal title.

Archie was not born at home

Early speculations say that Meghan Markle gave birth to Archie in the couple's previous home at Windsor. What was written in his birth certificate was the little boy's place of birth is at the private Portland Hospital in Westminster.

Came out past his due date

After the release of Meghan's pregnancy announcement in October, people thought that she might give birth in March or April. Meghan Markle's baby came out not in either of the two months, but during the first weeks of May.

He has a mixed-race

Meghan Markle wrote in an essay in 2015 for Elle that she has a biracial background. It means that Archie is one of the growing mixed-race population in the UK too.

Did not appear in public right away

Kate Middleton showed Prince Louis to the public seven hours after he was born. The couple followed an older history, which made the watchers see Meghan Markle's baby later than Kate Middleton's.

First royal baby to live in Frogmore Cottage

Frogmore Cottage is found on the grounds of Windsor. This garden home exists for more than 200 years, but not one of the heirs has grown up there. Queen Elizabeth II gave the property to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after they got married in 2018.

Could have been named Allegra

Meghan Markle's baby could have been named Allegra. Before Meghan gave birth to Archie, the current frontrunner name that his parents had in mind was Allegra. Sources explained that Prince Harry's late mother inspired the name. She considered the name if she had given birth to a baby girl.

The debut was different from his cousins

Meghan Markle's baby's big debut was different from his three cousins. The Sussex couple and Archie stepped out at St. George's Hall in Windsor Castle. The pair showed their baby to the world after deciding to keep the little one's birth private. They also forego the traditional post-birth photos in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital.
