2 brothers and girlfriend, arrested in the death of 3 best friends in Florida

Few days after the horrific death of three best friends in Florida, three persons are arrested.

Two of the arrested suspects are brothers, Tony "TJ" Wiggins and William "Robert" Wiggins, and the other one is Mary Whittemore, girlfriend of one of them.

According to authorities, several tips, surveillance footage, and the incoherent statements of the two brothers and girlfriend led to their arrests.

Horrific murder of the best friends

Damion Tillman, Keven Springfield, and Brandon Rollins were out for some night fishing last Friday when they were beaten and shot to death.

Rollins was able to call his father to ask for help.

However, when authorities came, Rollins also succumbed to death.

During a media briefing last Saturday, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd called for the public's help in solving the crime.

He said, "The victims, the parents, and their families deserve for us to solve this."

A 5,000-dollar reward was put out by the Sheriff's office to anyone who can give leads to the arrest of the perpetrators.

Result of the investigation

The tips received by authorities regarding the death of the three best friends did not exactly point to TJ Wiggins as the suspect. However, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd says that there was a consistent pattern to the reports that they have received. People were saying, "Look at T.J. Wiggins from Frostproof."

In a press briefing on Wednesday, Judd says, "Not because they had any idea he did it, just because he's mean."

Judd says that the incident happened because TJ was mad at Springfield due to a truck deal that happened a long time ago.

According to the investigation, TJ ran into Tillman (one of the victims) in a store. When TJ learned that Springfield joined Tillman in a night fishing, TJ and his brother and girlfriend, followed Tillman's truck.

TJ, along with his brother and girlfriend, followed Tillman.

When TJ arrived at the place where the three best friends were hanging out, TJ allegedly confronted Springfield about his truck's engine.

Afterward, TJ started shooting the truck at point-blank.

Arrest of the suspects

Authorities were able to piece the evidence found in the crime scene and TJ's travel trailer.

TJ Wiggins is charged with first-degree murder. His brother, Robert, faces charges of tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact of capital felony charges.

TJ's girlfriend, Mary Whittemore, was charged with accessory after the fact of a capital felony.

The three are all in the custody of the Polk County Sherrif and are held without bond.
