LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30th, 2020 - Reproductive Health and Wellness Center (RHWC) in Laguna Hills, CA, has become a leading fertility clinic in the region only a year after opening their doors. Founded by Dr. Marcus Rosencrantz in August 2019, RHWC has quickly risen to the top of the local fertility field even during the pandemic and a struggling economy, dominating a region already filled with established, big-name fertility clinics. Though many clinics across the country are facing financial difficulties amidst the pandemic closures, RHWC has only seen growth, experiencing a significant surge in the past six months as their success stories spread and new patients flood an already packed waiting list.

"We're way ahead of where our schedule should be considering the market that we're in and the nature of opening a new clinic and starting from scratch" said Dr Rosencrantz "We're already running out of room (in the office)". After working as the Infertility Division Director at Kaiser Permanente in Orange County for 9 years, Dr. Rosencrantz saw the need to branch out and create a new kind of clinic that addressed the gaps he saw in fertility care. Years of research shows that fertility is more complex than just eggs and sperm and that approaching fertility care without addressing a multitude of external factors in a patient's life doesn't give them the best chance at building a healthy family. "I won't be satisfied until my pregnancy rates are 100%" says Dr. Rosencrantz.

RHWC eyes beyond just the treatment

To work toward this goal, RHWC was founded with state of the art facilities and a philosophy that asks us to change the way we look at fertility treatment.

While many fertility clinics focus solely on the fertility treatments themselves, such as insemination or IVF, the mission of the Reproductive Health and Wellness center is to go further by providing comprehensive care for the patient as a whole, focusing on underlying issues that are often overlooked in fertility care.

After two years of preparation and planning, Dr Rosencrantz opened the doors of Reproductive Health and Wellness Center with the intention of providing the highest quality service and hopefully achieving the best results for their patients.  RHWC was set up with pristine equipment and patient resources. The on-site lab was equipped with the highest quality freezers, high tech incubators, and a dedicated air filtration system to ensure all procedures were done in the cleanest conditions.

Upon founding RHWC, Dr. Rosencrantz brought on RNP Cindy Anderson, who is experienced as both a clinical nurse manager and as a third-party clinical coordinator, and has been working in the fertility field for over 15 years. Together, their extensive experience allowed them to cater to patients in a way that addresses all of their needs. As a result, patients began to take note of the difference in the quality of care they received and the clinic began seeing a rapid rise in appointments.

The positive response from patients that the clinic has seen stems from their unique approach to fertility treatment. Unlike other clinics, RHWC focuses on care that addresses the patient's fertility as a whole. This allows them to examine all the other factors that affect fertility, such as stress, anxiety, nutrition, and weight. RHWC is one of the first clinics in the region to collaborate with experts in the fields of acupuncture, nutrition counseling, and therapy services, all of which are available for patients before, during, and after their fertility treatment. These services aim to help patients have better chances for conception as they prepare for fertility treatment and to help them stay healthy and comfortable during their treatment. Services like these have been shown to help fertility and chances of successful conception, and the resounding satisfaction from patients has demonstrated their effectiveness.

RHWC's headway towards LGBT community

The clinic has also begun to stand out for it's personalized care toward the LGBTQ community. They have worked with LGBTQ patients to cater to each individual's needs for building their family. Working with Trans men who are trying to get pregnant or considering a surrogate, Trans women who are considering sperm freezing, Lesbian couples who are seeking IUI or IVF, or Gay couples in search of a surrogate, RHWC has staff dedicated to providing specialized and sensitive care. While other clinics are still working on sensitivity training for LGBTQ patients seeking fertility treatments, RHWC was founded with LGBTQ needs in mind. They have held workshops and public information sessions to educate those who may be considering seeking fertility treatment to build their family, and offer one on one consultations to answer questions that those in the LGBTQ community may have about fertility. The community has taken notice, as more LGBTQ patients are flocking to the center over others to seek treatment.

Dr. Rosencrantz committed himself to provide one on one care for each of his patients every step of the way, a task that is becoming more challenging as more people have begun choosing RHWC over other services in the area. "We are getting busier and busier" said Dr. Rosencrantz "and our staff seems to be growing every day." As the clinic begins to quickly expand to keep up with the growing demand, plans are already being drawn for another location in the future.

"I am incredibly grateful for my staff at RHWC who do so much and allow me to focus my attention on what is most important, delivering exceptional patient care." Said Dr. Rosencrantz at the 1 year anniversary celebration "(we are) committed to our mission - helping every patient achieve their fertility goals by integrating state of the art therapies with a steadfast commitment to their reproductive wellness."
