Unexpected as it may seem, a baby was born in the backseat of a car while parked on the highway in Australia. The parents of the newborn baby were already on their way to the hospital when the mom had to give birth.

Fortunately, their midwife was also caught on the road and was close by, so she came just in time to catch the couple's, newborn baby!

Heading to the hospital

The mom, Brittney McCauley, was in labor on Wednesday morning. Her partner, James, decided to immediately drive her to the hospital. They live in Shell Cove and the Wollongong hospital at the South of Sydney, Australia was only a thirty-minute drive.

However, things escalated quickly and their newborn baby seemed to be a little in a hurry. Although the mom was so focused on getting to the hospital their newborn baby had a different plan in mind.

The couple had pull over Princes Motorway because Brittney is feeling that her son is about to come out.
