A California mom shares how to make glow-in-the-dark treats for Halloween.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, California mom, Ashlee Nicholas shares an alternative to trick-or-treat this Halloween. In one of her TikTok videos, Nicholas showed how to make glow-in-the-dark Halloween treats.

She said in an interview with Good Morning America that she got inspiration from a friend on Instagram.

The unique way of trick-or-treating

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, parents are worried as to how their kids might be exposed to the virus while they are out to go trick-or-treating. That is why the California mom thought of an alternative.

In the video that she uploaded, she showed how kids at home can do ghost hunting for glow-in-the-dark Halloween treats.

The California mom did four different videos on how to make glow-in-the-dark Halloween treats. In the first video, she showed how to hide candies inside the handmade ghosts. The next one showed an adult beverage ghost, ghosts with pet treats, and the glow-in-the-dark Halloween treats.

The California mom

Nicholas is a special education teacher from the San Francisco Bay Area. She has one child, a three-year-old son named Alexander.

When the California mom was planning for Halloween, she also thought of ways on how her son and her students can still celebrate despite the coronavirus pandemic. She said that she came across a post by one of her friends that showed a hunt for candy wrapped ghosts from tissue paper.

She shared with Good Morning America, "I took one small part of it and made the video."

What Nicholas loved about the people who viewed her videos is that some shared their tips on how to celebrate Halloween despite the pandemic. She said, "Everyone was sharing their ideas together and I loved it."
